Laura Mackness (CKMR) took part in the Taekwondo Nationals on Saturday 29th October competing for the Onehunga Club.  In her grade she won the Gold medal, a fantastic achievement considering she has only been competing for 2.5 years.

Cricket

The 1st XI Boys team started well in their two-day game with Westlake Boys scoring 302/9 declared.  Oyishik Chakraborty (SMCS) scored 75 runs and Abdul Ahmadzai (RDCD) scored 81 runs and were well supported by the lower order.  

Sevens

Our Senior Boys and Girls and Under 15 Boys and Girls Sevens Rugby teams have all qualified for the National Condor Sevens competition in early December.  The Senior Boys finished 5th in the Auckland Secondary Schools event beating St Peter’s, Tamaki, Onehunga and Pakuranga.  They lost their quarter final 17-22 in a tough fought game with Sacred Heart.  The Senior Girls claimed 4th place in the Auckland event beating Tamaki, Papatoetoe, Avondale and a good strong game against Otahuhu.  Thank you to all of the coaches and managers involved.

Touch

Our Junior Girls and Boys Touch teams have begun their seasons.  Both teams play at Grey Lynn Park and results have been mixed so far.  The Girls have won 1 game, drawn 1 and lost 1.  The Boys have won 1 and lost 1 game so far.

Volleyball

The Junior Girls Volleyball team remain unbeaten after 8 games in their competition.  The Boys team are persevering well in a tough grade.
